1 out of 5 stars absolute junk   August 3, 2010
wayne scarpaci (gardnerville nv us)
I regretfully bought this 'pile' as a download as I had webeasy7....I ....installed and it IS easier and faster than webeasy7 HOWEVER, it stopped saving my files after about an hour of use and GAVE ME NO INDICATION IT HAD STOPPED SAVING MY WORK ...I got the update to my site completed and fully checked the preview, wow everything looks great..then I went to upload and discovered it had apparently not saved my last 5 HOURS OF WORK.....SO BEWARE......IN A WORD IT IS CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5 out of 5 stars Web Easy IS simple to use....   July 10, 2010

I have read all the reviews given to Web Easy on this site, and the problems that everyone seems to be having are NOT software bugs, but simply that the user does not know how to read the help file. I have done 6 websites with this product, and yes, there is learning involved. You should go to the Avanquest site and access their FAQ's. You will find every answer you need to know. There is also a forum to ask questions in, and everyone there is very helpful.

5 out of 5 stars Great Software! Tons of professional features!   July 10, 2010

This software has been great! So many professional features that allow you to edit your web page. The drag and drop ability makes web design fast and easy. I will admit that the owners manual is a joke but there are companies out there that teach you how to use this software quickly.

2 out of 5 stars Confusing, difficult, to use   May 6, 2010

This is a difficult product to use. I'm comfortable with most products like these, but this was confusing to master and instructions were less than clear. To make matters worse, tech support is now provided by a hard to access, third party.

I'd avoid this product.

2 out of 5 stars Buggy App with Lousy Tech Support   May 1, 2010

I used Web Easy 7 and found it buggy. I thought Web Easy 8 may have been an improvement. It wasn't. This is and always has been a horrible web authoring program. For real inexperienced people making real basic web sites it might be OK, but it's anything but "EASY". There are certian aspects of it that just don't want to work right and if you need to access the raw code to fix anything you have to do it through NotePad. The biggest limitation is that it sets positions via pixels instead of percentages. This is VERY old school. Your web site could look very different depending on the viewers resolution. Oh, and your web site will only be viewable in Internet Explorer. Forget Foxfire, Mozilla and all the other browser hybrids out there.

I could go on and on about the various limitations of this software, but the worse part? The tech support is HORRIBLE. The Indian call center folk know NOTHING about the program or html except the very basics. I finally got a hold of someone at Avanquest and he was no better. Finally I got to talk to his manager and he was able to help me. And yes, it was a problem with the program. Yes the product is relatively cheap, but "ya get what ya pay for" and I did. Hours of wasted time and frustration and unhelpful unknowledgable tech support. That's Avanquest! (A French Company)
Stay away!
